Our horsemanship program runs in the summer (July and August). Dates will vary depending on the year and will be posted on our website and social media by May 1st.
This program runs 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)- 4 weeks in the summer. Time- 9am-1230pm (lunch 12-1230) Location- Thady Quill Price- $550 (2021 camp) a week or $2000 for all 4 weeks Ages- 7-16 years old (we have staff to accommodate all the various ages!)
What do we do? The campers will learn all there is to learn about horse on and off the horse. The campers will ride (a few days), learn how to tack/untack, wash a horse, clean tack, groom a horse, learn how to polo and put on boots, wrapping, load a horse on a trailer, learn parts of the horse, horse games ad more! This program is designed to help learn how to care for the horse while having fun and making new friends!
What do campers wear? Horsemanship shirts will be given out if you sign up for at least 1 week that the campers can wear. They can also wear any kind of shirt that they want. Pants would best be suited to wear or leggings. After riding the campers can change into shorts. Sneakers, riding boots or enclosed shoes are best to wear on your feet.
What happens if we have to cancel? We are a rain or shine program. There will be no refunds if camp has to cancel one day but we will accommodate the campers to makeup on that Friday of that camp week. We normally do not cancel but sometimes mother nature can force us to cancel for safety reasons.
When is payment due for camp? Payment is due for the 2 July weeks on June 1st Payment is due for the 2 August weeks on July 1st Payment is due for the discounted (ALL) 4 weeks on June 1st (We need 3 campers to run our program. If the program does not fill one of the weeks, you will be refunded)
Can we do only a day of camp here and there throughout the 4 weeks? Absolutely! It is $150 per day.
